If you download the most up-to-date SOCR, you will find that it is a rebuild of the old C based SOCR code. At present it does no recognition!
Don’t download the code if you want a working OCR product. Having this small distribution on the SOCR site will allow people to develop user User Interfaces for different platforms.
The next stage is to extract features and to start using the Epicurus library.
